Even a crappy vanilla GPU on a PC bought today might be able to run the game, if it is allowed to run, which is something to consider. I may be butchering terminology here, but apparently people have found success in "fooling" the game to run smoother by paradoxically raising their graphical settings, which forces the game to rely on the GPU. Apparently due to the way this relatively older game interacts with Windows 10's memory allocation in superfetch, the gpu isn't even recruited into use to help with the load, or something to that effect, so even high specs pcs aren't allowed to shine. I've read threads elsewhere which suggest the problem has less to do with with graphical settings than it does optimization of memory. I honestly don't know for certain whether it effects anything that can't be tweaked from the game menu. After struggling with lag and tweaking settings endlessly, I tried using Ragnotech's low specs experience, following the instructions in this bizarre video (here: ). I have a gaming laptop from 2014 (Toshiba Qosmio x70a with geforce 770m and core 7 cpu) which I bought thinking it would handle coh2 with ease.
